Mood Blog 2019

Here we are in February

I always wonder ( I’m sure others do too ,) at which point should we stop saying “ Happy New Year “ to people ?. It is a strange one, whether it be by text e mail or verbally. I guess that by February it is no longer such a new year, so we can put a halt on saying it until  next year.

I can’t quite believe how the month of January has flown by. When we closed Mood Beach in January, for staff holidays, and to carry out some refurb work, it seemed as if we were going to be closed for ages. The staff will come back this week to start getting things ready for our reopening on Friday February 10th. We are really excited about opening again. There is a feel of anticipation in the air, and Summer is not too far away. We have made some changes to the terrace, and to the swimming pool area, which is going to be even more spectacular.

Change and reinvention is good, it keeps things fresh and dynamic. We also have plans for other fab things, so as we go along I shall keep you informed. Opening day Friday 10th, our Crystal deck restaurant will  open for menú del día at lunchtime, and a la carte in the evening, followed  by our very popular Salsa night.  Saturday 11th we again have the restaurant open at lunchtime and in the evening too, there will  be a disco party with “ Happy Hour”  included, in fact it will be happy two hours from 10pm until midnight, two drinks for the price of one. Our resident DJ Adi will be on the decks and we look forward to a fab atmosphere.  So many people will be delighted that “ Sunday lunch “ is back on the menú on the 12th. We have lots of regulars booked in for that one, and it is one of our many popular days. In Summer the place is buzzing with people enjoying their traditional roast with maybe a few glasses of nice wine, live music, stunning sea views and later on music out on the terrace.

In terms of special events, of course we have St Valentine’s at Mood. Our Crystal deck restaurant is the perfect romantic setting for a special dinner for two. As you enjoy the moonlight over the sea, our delicious five course candlelit dinner will delight you. Our chef has chosen some exquisite dishes for the special evening, however if you prefer to choose from the main a la carte menu, or a platter for sharing, you can do that too. Thanks to our friends at the Majorca Daily Bulletin for running a competition. Our prize of the special St Valentine’s dinner menú for two, will go to a lucky couple. All you need to do is mail  the Spanish Word for LOVE to and you may be the chosen ones.  Good luck and Happy Valentine’s to you all.  I hope you spoil yourself and your loved one.
